I love this time of year! I love the colors of the trees, the chilly days, lighting fires in the fireplace, and most of all, Thanksgiving! It's probably my favorite holiday. And another of my favorite things? Making pie! And eating pie! No wonder I love this time of year. I am so excited to make these delicious pies for your Thanksgiving feast. Here are four amazing pies I'd love to make for you. These will be ready for delivery or pick up on Tuesday, November 24th.

CLASSIC PUMPKIN PIE
I'll admit that I've never been a big pumpkin pie eater, until I met this one. The flavor and texture are amazing! It has a full, dark flavor and the texture is firm and smooth. Top your pie with a dollop of fresh whipped cream and sprinkle with a dash of nutmeg to make a really beautiful presentation.

SOUR CREAM LEMON PIE
The tangy sweet of the lemon curd is mellowed by sour cream to create a deliciously creamy lemon pie topped with fresh whipped cream. This one is a favorite!

Yum! Sweet blueberries put together with a perfectly crisp, flaky crust make an irresistible combination!

PECAN PIE
Rich, caramely and topped with a scrumptious crunchy pecan layer. I didn't touch this one much as a kid, but I've learned better and now I always leave room for at least a slice.

Aimee's Confections: What we're all about

Aimee's Confections was unofficially started 3 days before Mother's Day in 2013. I love my peach pie and wanted to share it with others, so sent out an email to some family and friends. It was an instant hit. My husband and I were up late into the night hand-making peach pies to be done in time for Mother's Day. Pretty soon people started asking if I had plans to make anything else. Along came my mini cheesecakes. And then I added my Marquise au Chocolate and Tuxedo Cake. And it has gone on from there.

This idea began when my husband and I were discussing ways we could help our children earn money and learn about finances. The idea began gnawing at me and I finally took the plunge.
The idea has evolved into two sides of the business. About once a month we have an offering that generally falls around the time of holidays. A specific product or two is offered and advertized by way of an email and social media. Anyone wanting to join the email list can send an email to aimees.confections@gmail.com. There is an ordering window of about 3 days and then 1 day that the desserts are ready for pick-up or delivery. The other part of the business is the catering side. Many people and companies have contacted me to cater birthdays, retirement parties, company Christmas parties, bridal/baby showers, weddings, etc.

Mother's Day is on its way and I know the big question on everyone's mind that causes so much stress and worry is: What am I going to serve her for dessert? What? That's not the big question? Ok, so maybe that is the last thing on everyone's mind and ends up being one of those last minute decisions.Well let me make it easy for you. Does she like fruity or chocolatey desserts?
